Technilogical development

       What is in your opinion, has been the single most important scientific or technological development of the last fifty years?

     Many years ago no one could ever imagine that such a thing as the internet would be invented.Nowadays , life without the internet for the most is unimaginable .In my opinion, every invention has its time, and the internet is the greatest invention of our time.

     Firstly, the internet provides an enormous amount of information .Everyone can find all types of information on million  of topics. According to statistics, there are billion active Google research, map, Youtube users. For example I usually use Google to find extra information for school subjects. Also I like cooking and use culinary site scullion.ru. And amaze my parents with new delicious dishes. But this easy access to so much information can be sometimes dangerous .For example, someone could find the instruction to do build a bomb. And if it is not in the right hands, can be very dangerous.

      Secondly, people are using the internet for communication. Today, we can initiate real-time communication with someone who is in the other part of the world. In my personal experience I use all the time Skype to communicate with my sister, who lives in Dubai. People can participate in social networks like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, VK, Whatsapp etc. They can share with news, photos, videos and keep in touch with their friends in distance places, or make new ones.

      Thirdly, people are using the internet for business. Becoming more and more popular internet magazines (Iherb, Mexx, Hoff etc. ) , payment for utility services by internet, opening of electronic invoicing. All those things can be done without living house, with a single click, what is very comfortable.

      Fourthly, people are using internet for an entertainment. They use such sites as namba.kg, kinopisk.ru, youtube to watch  movies, videos, clips and news.It is also popular online games among adolescents. For example, my classmates always go to the internet clubs after school to play the games like minecraft, contrstrike, dota.

       And the last, but not least is online education. It is growing very intensive. Online education is one of the way to learn various subjects. Therefore, people can learn what they want, whenever and wherever they want. I know a lot of awesome sites such as UMass Boston Open Courseware, Khan Academy, MIT Open Courseware. And that site where I started and still continue to learn English is LinguaLeo. When I first knew about this program, I was amazed. I love everything in LinguaLeo: design ,exercises, videos and even Leo .Strongly recommend.

        It can be concluded that, there have been many technological developments in last fifty years, everyone of them important for its time. But internet, with its flaws, is the most important invention of our modern time.
